Yea, I intentionally restricted my post to the base tiers as gamepass has a similar schema since they both show similar featuresets at higher tiers.

This was just a somewhat quick list of info found online when comparing the two. I can see each tier being useful to someone, but I personally find that Sonys offerings for PS+ don’t stack to Gamepass, and that’s from someone who has been loyal sony fan since the PS1.

I think this is the wrong mentality looking at it. Regardless of payout (which I do agree should be going to employees as well which according to most sources do seem to agree that at least some will be going to the employees as well), imagine the precedent this would imply:

Larger companies being allowed to “agree” to terms as part of an acquisition, and then once they have control over it just decide “yea you know what I don’t need to pay this” and then not doing so. That was my main issue regarding this. The concept of a company agreeing to terms in order to acquire a company. Then deciding after the fact that since they regretted their decision that they just shouldn’t need to uphold their end of the legally binding deal put a massive sour taste in my mouth.

Honestly I would have been just as satisfied with a ruling stating that unknown world’s acquisition was invalid due to the EPA breakage and therefore is now its own independent studio again, but has to refund the 500m (minus whatever amount the court decides to use as compensation/retribution that Krafton had paid for the acquisition, and completely throw the 250m bonus out the window.

With every one of these price increases, my chances of subscribing to PS plus drops lower and lower.

They don’t even give a competitive service when compared to Xbox… Like don’t get me wrong I think Gamepass is a scam as well but it’s less of a scam than PS plus… 11$/m vs gamepasses 10$/m and gamepass gives a handful of games, cloud backups, cloud gaming and multiplayer… PS plus just gives multiplayer and save backups and a couple free games a month that require ongoing subscription to play.

I don’t think that it’s that people don’t think that way, companies know that. It’s that the company is hoping that when the customer needs a service the name comes up. It’s a play at the human subconscious. How many ads do you watch that you are able to remember you heard of the service from an ad vs just passing discussion. I can only think of NordVPN and a few insurance companies, they rely on that. They hope that when an issue comes up that requires it, that their name pops up without the negative mentality behind it.

I agree though, I go off the mindset that if I am looking for a product and the first thing that comes to mind is “I saw this in an ad” that means there was enough advertisement budget that I could consciously link it to the ad and not the product, which means there is a massive red flag for the product there.

It would seem you took my comment as being for his pursuits, the intent of the comment was not for or against him, it’s simply how it is.

Naming any of his successful or failed visions wouldn’t change anything.

It wouldn’t implode because it’s not like his shares just disappear on death. Whoever obtained those shares would have the 10x voting power over the company. So whoever ended up with those shares have full control over SpaceX.

That’s also ignoring monetary damages and punishment for it which is phase two of the lawsuit and currently in the courts still.

I doubt jail time will be done(nor should it really as this is all monetary issues) but, punishment for the blatent breakage of the EPA terms is likely nowhere near over for krafton.

if you are running completionest you probably could. I’m about 12 hours in myself and I’ve been bouncing between collection and story taking my time and I would expect im approaching where what is available is going to end. at least I would expect they wouldn’t move into the next section. Milestone wise it would make sense to stop the EA at this stage.

So as a summery investing in spaceX means

• realistically no control over company choices regardless of share type.

The article is pretty accurate: if you buy in you are only there for the ride. Meaning hopefully you are there hoping he actually can produce what he claims he wants to do.

Not just meth heads. If you live in a really populated area, Walmart is actually super picky.

Their HR departments are basically brainless. The computer makes all the choices

when you apply to Walmart you drop into a 3 colored queue, red yellow/orange green

• green: worked their before no issue
• yellow/orange: no job experience or left in bad terms not violently or a way that harmed the company
• red: you stole something or you had massive red flags when they searched you

They’re heavily pushed towards hiring greens, and if forced to, they’ll hire yellows, and they’re not allowed to hire reds outside of excruciating circumstances.

I had a friend who had no criminal record whatsoever, but due to someone being disabled and needing care in their household, they had never really held a job into their late 20’s, The Walmart that was closest to her house wouldn’t touch her with a ten-foot pole after repeated attempts, but that was in a massively populated area. However, the one that was in her old town, which was significantly lower population, called first try (but sadly that was an accidental application didn’t notice the town defaulted back)

Walmart starts at like 21 an hour for team leads as well, at least around here. So that’s not a bad idea.

I would actually prefer this tbf, as long as it isn’t forcing a biometric option I can see this being super useful as a deterrent for people who have biometrics set up. Being said, locking the ability to change the wifi and bluetooth state is also a good change.

Being said… I don’t see any situation where law enforcement could verify ownership… who walks around knowing the IMEI of the device, and if a cop can just call a carrier and find who owns a device based off an IMEI that is a grievous misuse of data and privacy.

I would rather have that than sites that are stealing my mouse inputs so it sticks to the UI elements. I hate it. Like let me control my own mouse please, theres a reason they didn’t give you the ability to actually control where the mouse is via javascript, please leave it be.

this right here is what drives me crazy about Kde. I prefer it over everything else, but the lack of a simple toggle button to make it so the same configuration goes on every monitor makes no sense to me, it /shouldn’t/ even be that difficult to implement as well, the existing framework already exists it’s just per monitor.

Once upon a time you could symlink the config to each other but idk if that still is feasible
