Aww! poor girl! I bet the relief you felt when you got her back was intense. Sounds like the rainy weather kept her close.
My girl just bolted. When she jumped the fence my heart dropped. We’re close to Scotchmans Creek and the foxes there that have been known to attack cats. She’s not much of a climber inside so seeing that just told me how panicked she was. Or determined.
Since she’s been back inside she’s had some bonus treats and resumed sitting in her favorite spot by the window.
My indoor cat just dashed through the door as I was going out. First time she has done this. I only adopted her almost a month.
Panic!
She jumped my fence which borders a large park. I grabbed a blanket, some food and went into the park, yelling her name but not really hopeful.
My son comes out yelling “Mum! She’s at the back door!”. He let’s her in and she bolts for a bed to hide under.
She can have all the pets and treats tonight. My heart rate is gonna take some time to recover.
NtccCat:
Silly puss.
My girl broke through a flyscreen while I was out. I got home and freaked the fuck out. Ran around in a panic.
Found her hiding from the rain, meowing sadly next to the window she broke out of.

I don’t think I had ever panicked like that before in my life.
I think inside cats have this incredibly optimistic view of being outside cats, then reality kicks in and they want their treats and brushies lol
