    Late anti-gratitude sentiment.

My mum bought a “urine detector” torch from Temu (it’s pretty much just a low quality UV light) and our carpet is full of piss. My dog has marked pretty much everywhere and it’s gone into the carpet.

Also ‘missed’ the 8am class because I couldn’t sleep and it wasn’t a good idea to drive. Fun fact: being awake for I think 16 hours is like having your BAC at .05. Or maybe it’s 17, don’t remember.

Dude… you need to mentally prep for UV light revelations!

I broke a nail. Not quite bad enough to bleed but bloody hurts!

Ate quite a bit of raw pineapple today. Tongue felt funny and tingly afterwards.

Still not very comfortable, like I burnt it.

Pineapple (raw) has a LOT of enzymes in it - which is why you can’t set raw pineapple in jelly cos the enzymes denature the proteins in the jelly. Also, its a bromeliad, and a very ‘primitive’ plant, so has evolved a lot of chemical defenses. That burning/tingling sensation also means that the pineapple wasn’t quite ripe enough. I get this reaction too, but not everyone does. Not my favorite fruit. EDIT: same thing with monstera fruits - the little black bits can seriously sting if not scraped off.
