Me, 5 seconds ago: Oh, well the lake here in Ohio has a lot of debris in it too, I’m sure it’s not that baHOLY SHIT THAT’S SO MUCH
It almost looks like I could go walk across the surface.
That’s an insane amount. How do you even go about cleaning it all up? A bunch of small boats and guys with rakes, or do you look into transporting a trash barge with a crane and have dump trucks haul it all away?
Won’t be quick or easy, that’s for sure.
There’s a dam, so I guess it’ll be possible to grab it with a crane from the dam or shore.
I suppose if you’ve got appropriately strong nets, you could corral everything closer to a spot with easier access with only a handful of boats (theoretically just one, and an anchor point)
That is insane. I haven’t seen this anywhere else. Thanks for sharing it.
But where is the lake?
Jokes aside, this will take a while to clean up and I doubt there is much fish left in that mess and the water quality is probably dangerous.
As someone who had a really bad infection after being in contact with water contaminated by a huge flood: Stay safe and stay away from water like this and wash and wash and then again wash your hands and everything.
Holy shit. Mind boggling.
