Its 2nd time I quit smoking for last year. Previous was around 10 months ago. Both times, few days after I quit I have started to see something funny in dreams and waking up laughing. I am pretty sure its related because I don’t remember myself laughing in dreams for many many years. Is it related and is there explanation why it happening?
I have heard some really funny jokes in my dreams. When I wake up from one like that im like “wtf how did my subconscious think of that fucking zinger?”
Examples? I’m really curious!
The only one I can kind of remember now that wasn’t even that funny and was more of a visual pun my brain made for me was I had a dream about drag Queen robots that fight crime called the Trans Formers. Which was interesting. But that’s not really what I’m talking about here, the ones I’ve had were for sure comebacks or one liners or genuinely hilarious comments on whatever weird dream situation I was in.
This legit made me laugh out loud, thanks!
Yeah. I woke up and was just BEWILDERED that I would have an entire dream that was just… a pun? Like some robot chicken skit in my dreams?
Ooh, I have a good one. While I was asleep my brain came up with “Late’n’Baked” which was some kind of instant foodstuff for stoners along the lines of Huel. This was apparently funny enough to wake me up.
Oh man these are DREAM JOKES. I forget them in five minutes. I should write the next ones down maybe because sometimes they’re legitimate bangers.
I’d pay money to have this… I wake up loudly yelling swear words like 3 times per week.
What were you smoking?
just normal cigarettes. I was smoking for last 10 years with taking breaks sometimes for few months or longer. Im trying to quit now for good. I also wasn’t laughing in dreams for many many years, it happened now second time this year exactly few days after stopping to smoke
Changes in your body change your dreams — illnesses can induce nightmares, or stop you from dreaming all together — we don’t understand how dreaming works mostly, but we do understand that basically any physical change can induce changes in dreaming.
Clowns, obviously.
