And those who spread it within their country for their own selfish gain are traitors.

What really scares me is when government organizations use social media manipulation in order to do things like get more power and funding

It’s not just fox news, cBS presented easily identifiable fabricated documents that showed criticisms of GWB when he served in the guard. You can go to any news source and find instances of them fabricating stories. The Pulitzer Prize is names after the king of yellow journalism, who pushed the US into war with his false claims.

Times is mainstream media… One of the biggest producers of propaganda and using misinformation and fear tactics. They regularly sensationalise news to procure a certain reaction from the public. Fuck off with your BS Times.

If you had to bet money on the factuality of the reporting mainstream media or alt media on a topic of your choice, which one would you pick?

None. You gotta read multiple sources and snort an ounce of salt. I don’t use it, but if you don’t wanna manually look it up, check out apps/sites like ground news. It can help gather a bunch of articles from a bunch of sites. It shows the bias, leaning, and factuality. It even has a Blindspot option for sites you don’t usually use. I am not willing to pay lol so I do it manually.

Al Jazeera is surprisingly decent despite its owner being the Qatari government.
