        Yeah, was an active contributer there and even had some discussions with the main admin Tom Henrick. Part of my childhood is just gone

        Apparently it’s been dead longer than actually it’s posted death as it was sold and gambling ads were rampant shortly before the actual demise

          I did manage to see some of the gambling ads a few years ago, but I guess I figured they’d eventually maybe try a patreon model to fund itself or something, just never anticipated it would be shut down, as it was such a pillar for so long.

          Looks like XTC Abandonware is still up, but worryingly they also seem to have gone down the path of gambling ads, listing them as affiliates and having a huge space dedicated to them in the testimonials section on the front page… Ech.

          Home of the underdogs is still up too, and it looks like they went the Patreon route, thankfully! Though last update was 3 years ago.

          Overall the abandonware space seems to be a bit of a shadow of its former self, unfortunately :(
