I do training that focuses on strength, endurance and flexibility but I have never measured it so it’s difficult to see if I have made progress or not.

When I think of stats, what immediately comes to mind are the souls like games. Personally I have only played Elden Ring and a bit of Sekiro.

We have STRENGTH, DEXTERITY , ENDURANCE, INTELLIGENCE, VIGOR and uhm … FAITH, how can one measure their abilities and represent in this form ?

For starters -

  • I consider practicing kicks, punches , writing with my non dominant hand and practicing any form of movement as DEX.

  • Maintaining optimal levels in Blood work, eating healthier food consistently… etc can be considered in VIGOR.

  • Obtaining knowledge that can enhance one’s perception of the world , knowledge about chemicals and physics principles that can benefit you in any situation. These can be considered in INT.

  • I really don’t know what to put in FAITH.

  • STR can be measured by ability to withstand stress over a time period.

I don’t even know if this a feasible way to identify progress, but what do you think ? Please don’t hesistate to suggest If there is a better alternative to this.

Thanks !

I wouldn’t use video game like metrics but stuff like

    • Time at the 10km
    • Highest degreee
    • Number of push-up/pull-up
    • Ability to do a repair

That said do you need to quantity everything ? Rpg style stats are an abstraction to ease the game not a real way to describe persons
