Tested for hydrogen and methane, unfortunately gastros just diagnosed it as ibs and don’t even test for sibo here. I paid out of pocket and worked with naturopaths to get it done, but they only had a glucose/lactulose test that wasn’t triosmart.

I’ve since developed histamine issues as well after having covid, so it’s been a great time.

I hear you. My SIBO went critical after COVID. I’m on treatment number 5 right now. Feeling better but the roller coaster has been hell.

I’m just an idiot on the web, but I would guess you have A SIBO or SIFO situation. I hope you get some peace.

Could very well be, unfortunately doctors don’t take it seriously and naturopaths pretend to know more but really don’t, and have less options available for treatment. I’ve tried herbal treatments to no success, so I’m kind of stuck living with what I’ve got. Unless I travel to the states for treatment or buy myself some rifaximin online on my own or something I’m kind of SOL. Not comfortable self prescribing antibiotics to be honest.

I’m not either but it was the only way to get my life back. Job was in trouble, the works.

I just use FC Cidal and Dysbiocide when I flare up every few months. If you reach that critical point like I did, at least keep those in mind.

Ideally, gastros would just do their fuckin jobs. But they are nothing but arrogant, Machiavellian gaslighting Prilosec pez dispensers. Naturos are a bit pretentious but the reality is that they have to be REALLY out there to be more inaccurate than your usual gastro. That is a loaded statement, but I mean every word of it. It’s infuriating.
