While they were happy with what the fairphone 4 brought to the table, they seem to like what was changed for the fairphone 5.
What are you guys’ opinions on this? A welcome change? would you get one if your phone died within the next year?
That’s the GrapheneOS team’s response right there.
Which I guess can be taken with a grain of salt, but the Graphene developers are known for nothing if not correctly assessing security.
Same thing also said by the developer of DivestOS. Fairphones are not fully patched until anywhere close to their promised support. https://forum.fairphone.com/t/is-fairphone-really-interested-in-sustainability/99302
Which is why I don’t think I’m getting the fp. I don’t want to pay a premium price for a less secure phone than one with graphene
