Is that the longest ever between official sequels?
Well Eddy Murphy’s other recent movie was Coming 2 America in 2021. Which was a sequel to Coming to America from 1988. Blade runner 2049 is a later sequel though with 35 years, not sure if it’s the longest.
Perhaps it will rank up there with the most unnecessary!
Not sure how much time has to pass for time and space to loop back around so we can see how long Star Wars Ep 4 was after Star Wars Ep 3
I’m sure that aged well and wouldn’t be problematic at all
