I am a lame child, but primarily, I don’t use things that require accounts/emails/ID verification just to read them. If I was gonna do that why wouldn’t I just use Twitter?
Edit: ignored that you still need to be invited to read anything, lol. This is like an extra-closed walled garden here. Hilarious that the worst thing about Twitter is all the blue check marks, and Bluesky is like “We have created a gated community of only blue checks.”
If you think about it, Twitter was a shithole and was in downfall long before Musk took over, and it’s founder Jack Dorsey did very little to address it’s many issues. Now that he’s created Bluesky, you can bet that it’s going to be yet another Twitter, just with a new set of clothes, pretending to be different. You can’t trust these billionaires to run a decent service.
