Osmium Isn’t completely closed source, they have plans to open source the client and they have the libraries and apis all open source. The only thing they are currently keep closed source is the server software it runs on. I have tried matrix it isn’t exactly user friendly and I find it hard to manage large communities on matrix

I use heroic to install and have the setting on to auto add them to my steam library
