One of my favorite Star Trek quotes of all time: “If the invasion had been considered a defeat Gowron would’ve been assassinated by now. He simply declared victory, and went home.”

Ah, thanks for saving me the trouble of watching it.
That is authentic red pleather! That ain’t cheap!
I have zero knowledge of signal or telegram outside of knowing they exist. How would downloading the app from the App Store and sending someone a message make you vulnerable to a scam? Is it just that they could send you messages asking for personal information, or ask you for bank information to set up direct deposit and instead just use your bank info to steal your money?
You mean the SSD chipset, or the does the enclosure have a chipset, too?
The M.2 enclosure I have gets extremely hot during periods of extended use like installing an OS or transferring large amounts of data. Not sure if it’s a problem with other enclosures, but it’s something to consider.
Somewhere at my parents’ house is my old Gateway with an 800 MHz Athlon and an Nvidia Riva TNT2…and you’re making me want to dig it out.
isn’t the worst offender I’ve seen, but it’s still bullshit. They should never be able to advertise it at $84.99 when there are $30.99 in required fees
I would hope this would also apply to the live TV streaming services like Hulu+live tv, Fubo, YouTube TV, etc. I looked into some of them, and the added fees took the monthly bill from like $83 a month to over $100 a month, but you don’t know that unless you read the disclaimers since they advertised it at $83 a month.
It’s just a spammer
“Did you miss me, Al?”
“With every bullet so far.”
I enjoyed BF1, but I played the betas for both BF5 and 2042 and was thoroughly disappointed.
I kinda wish the government would recognize their sovereignty, and make them pass through customs every time they leave their property, cut off their public utilities, make them apply for a work visa…you know, give them the full experience.
I was a huge fan. Watched it from season one on. Even had a House Stark banner. Now I don’t even think about it unless I see it mentioned on social media. Married with Children and Aqua Teen Hunger Force spontaneously pop into my mind 10 times more often than Game of Thrones.
I’ll never forgive D&D for what they did to that show. It was omnipresent in public consciousness for like a decade, and they fucked the last couple seasons so badly it’s now all but forgotten. It’s almost impressive in a depressing kind of way.
Oh I’m no fan of the NSA purchasing untold amounts of data about Americans, but seriously how can you blame them for it when the data is readily and legally available for purchase by pretty much anyone? These datasets shouldn’t exist in the first place.
Yeah the scandal here isn’t that the NSA bought it, it’s that it’s available for purchase in the first place.
If you claim 17 children as deductions, you’ll probably get audited. If you claim a new Ferrari as a business expense deduction, you’ll probably get audited. The IRS is not some evil omnipresent overlord looking to lock you into a life of servitude, and the people trying to convince you of that are: 1) very wealthy people trying to avoid paying taxes, and 2) the actual people trying to lock you into a life of servitude.
They audit you, and you provide proof of what deductions you qualify for. If you say you paid $10,000 for child care, and you have paperwork from the daycare to prove it, then you’re good. If you said you paid $10,000 for child care and it turns out you don’t have any children, you’re kinda fucked. Same goes for things like charitable donations. The IRS has no idea that you donated to a cancer charity unless you claim it as a deduction. If they audit you, you’d better have proof of the donation.
“Right to leech” is more accurate, but harder to sell
