It only takes one toke to go over the line
Marx coined the term, sure. But he didn’t come up with much more than that and a very rudimentary theory on how it would work. Lenin put it into practice and actually created it as an economic model. Everything else you’re arguing is theoretical semantics. How the thing works is how the thing works.
It’s important to consider the conditions in which state ownership was deemed necessary. Countries with a starving and illiterate working class isn’t as capable at a true worker owned economy as one that already has a well fed and educated working class. A true socialist society needs basic infrastructure and fulfillment of the basic needs of its people before it can be properly implemented.
Lenin’s concept of the Dictatorship of the Proletariat was intended to be a temporary system intended on rapid development and growth of the economy. It was more important to try and stop starvation and establish railroads than build worker co-ops. The mistake was when the leaders that came after decided to never cede power back to the working class.
This made me realize two things about Harry Potter. 1: why do the wizards not simply use magic AND guns? 2: oculus repairo is a stupid fucking spell. You’re telling me there’s a specific spell just for repairing glasses? That’s just bad writing.
I used to love that dude, too. I also used to go on Reddit though. Thankfully, I’ve outgrown both.
It was many factions. I’m just saying all of them were trying to have third revolutions while the people starved to death. At some point, revolutions end with a unifying government that isn’t trying to murder each other. Lenin was not the villain you’re painting him to be.
That’s not true at all. The Mensheviks wanted to cooperate with the bourgeoisie and were therefore a bad representation of socialism. Lenin formed the Bolsheviks because the Mensheviks were being stupid. The country was also fractured after the revolution and many groups of counter-revolutionary groups were trying to overthrow the barely formed government. Meanwhile famines were ravaging the country. Understanding the historical context of Russia in 1917 and the economic struggles the people were dealing with is very important to understanding why things happened the way they did. Looking at the aftermath of a revolution where everyone is vying for power and killing each other doesn’t automatically make the winner of that power grab the bad guys.
Weird, I was under the impression that the purges happened after Lenin died. Can ghosts lead a purge?
At some point it’s really up to the consumers to stop buying shit games
Probably living in the US
Fahrenheit isn’t how people feel, it’s how brine solutions feel.
They don’t address the main issue though. The wealthiest people hide all their money in stocks and then use those stocks as collateral to get incredibly cheap loans.
Profit sharing fixes all of this because it provides incentives for everyone to go the extra mile so they can make more money.
You should learn what communism actually is. It’ll probably help with your arguments in the future. Read a book.
Post scarcity socialism sure as shit sounds like Communism to me. In fact, one of the most important things when evolving from socialism to Communism is eliminating scarcity
It’s okay to believe in communism and still engage in capitalism because you’re living in a capitalist society. Obviously there’s only so much I can gleam without having known the guy myself. But, that being said, I’m a Communist and as a Communist, I know what Communist dog whistling sounds like and I know that, at the very least, season 1 on TNG is chock full of Communist dog whistling
Who told you Communism is when everything is owned by the state? Communism is when society becomes so technologically advanced and so abundant in resources that the state withers away and currency is no longer needed. So, you know, Star Trek. Also, his wife said he was a Communist
Also known as the proletariat, petite bourgeoisie, and bourgeoisie, respectively
Gene Roddenberry was a Communist and I miss the Communist ideals represented in his writing.
Vanya did transition to Victor in the show.
