Thanks for the response! Mind answering a noob question? Like where did you practice, an empty parking lot or…? Cuz even with helmet and gear, if you did fall, was it OK?
How long did it take for you to get half-decent with it? I have little to no balance, I can’t even rollerblade or ice skate, you think it’s worth trying to learn?
It seems so practical which is why I wanna keep trying to learn.

I feel like mom and dad are talking and I am sitting nodding along
I thought maybe an NGO or non-profit subsidized by a gov’t (e.g. taxing ISPs or telecos) would work for stuff within a geographic region, just like allocate server space and the main benefit would be to have a knowledgeable citizenry/residents of tech stuff.
it’s beautiful, i can’t stop looking at it!
i feel seen, we’re two peas in a pod
To still feel productive and get that high from getting stuff done. I honestly spend hours and hours formatting my reports/papers. I think, I got a few compliments in the past (just the average kind people say when it’s clear someone put effort into something) and that solidified my procrastination.
It’s usually at least a 2:1 ratio of formatting to actually writing/researching content…
I need help…
Eyyy, coming in with a save! Thanks! I appreciate the info.
Aw crap, my bad, appreciate the correction. I thought they applied it in a novel way or something? Anyways Venter’s business practice sucks.
For folks that don’t know, Venter had a company, Celera, they competed with the Human Genome Project (HGP) run by the US Gov’t. They developed interesting techniques to sequence, I believe they are credited with shotgun sequencing.
How were they able to compete?? The HGP published all their work openly, Venter and co used the freely accessible data alongside their own proprietary methods to try and sequence the human genome first themselves.
If I recall correctly it was considered a tie and they both jointly published the first sequenced human genome in Science.
Yeah, that’s fair enough, gotta do my own homework some of the time.
Oh yeah? I can be hostile to our views even in hexbear. Watch me start a struggle session on checks notes outdoor vegan cats!1!!
