What would bedrock linux be?
Tbf if you ever lived in North Iraq you would see how much left-leaning average religious Kurd is.
If we stopped invading the region for oil and all it would stabilize and then progress over time.

The fact that Turkish language doesn’t have gendered pronouns makes this even funnier.
Best I can do is lube up two buff men with olive oil and have them wrestle half-naked while other middle-aged men watch on the side.

1·4 days agoI feel this. I had to give up on connecting to my home wifi on windows server edition.
This was right after I daily drove openbsd for 2 months. I was connecting to PEAP encrypted networks using wpa_supplicant and now I couldn’t connect to my phone’s hotspot.

39·5 days agoIt’s a weird cycle of “it’s not an OS used by gamers so we don’t have to support it” and “nobody supports it so I don’t wanna use it.”
And the part that sucks is that writing drivers for linux was probably trivial to these companies compared to windows but they just didn’t wanna because it’s unpopular.

7·5 days agoFunny enough from experience having less GUI made it easier to learn.
I started really using computers when I was introduced to the revolutionary concept of the internet in 2020.
GUI did not seem much universal. Every app still has their own thing going on and I could not tell what are common to each.
As example I was never told you can right-click on stuff other than desktop files, so I just assumed you couldn’t until I saw someone right click google’s bookmarks space one day.
Also following a year old guide on programming felt outdated because youtube tutorial used the other visual studio and I assumed it was just the versions looking different while the “cc” command from a book written in 80s just worked on linux terminal.
The main problem I had was remembering the commands and options but even that clicked over time.

Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•Over the past ~20 years, Google became the de facto entry point for learning new skills and information. Google also sucks now. This is a really big problem.
9·6 days agoAt this point I am wondering if I should pay for one of those $30/month search engines just to be sure they won’t put only sponsored sites to visible areas.
Problem with that is experience tells me subscription model products always go worse over time.

2·6 days agoI never understood how “vitality” refers to not any type of armor, but instead an inheret "unkillable"ness until I started looking into wild boars.

They won’t become “employable professionals” at 10 but they will call pointers intuitive at 13.
Waterfox. For really powerless machines dillo or “links2 -g.”
For android I just use firefox.

Tbf isn’t most anime either a TV show for middleschoolers or an ad for the book anyways?
