I’m with you. The intro was pretty lackluster, the main campaign doesn’t interest me at all, and new Atlantis kinda sucks imo
Then I joined the crimson fleet and suddenly 50 hours was gone.

She doesn’t feel the heat
This city won’t know what hit her
What knocked her out into the streets
This city’s thinking that it’s over
And she’s already fast asleep

I don’t think the world is ready for Bethesda Seinfeld RPG. But I am.
I actually played through it last month and it blew me away. I cannot wait to do a second play through when phantom liberty comes out! It was so so good.
Brink… Sigh. I remember that trailer coming out and I watched it like every day for years waiting for it to come. I watched every dev vlog, read every update. For years I was hyped on that. At time of release my buddy and I took the week off of work. We played it for like 3 hours one night and finished it. I remember thinking “there must be a mistake. This can’t be it. This isn’t the game I’ve been dreaming about.” I never booted it up again after that first night.
Brink was my CP2077.
They’re my squishy boots
I’ll share my experience. I love oblivion, skyrim, and enjoyed d4. I’ve never played DnD or a Baldurs Gate game.
I am so stoked that BG3 is getting the recognition for all they’ve done in putting the gamer experience above all else. Seeing the passion and love they put in and gamers are then experiencing is incredible.
I have also realized the game is not for me. There’s too much detail. I don’t enjoy controlling a whole party of characters. I may not just be smart enough for all the shit that’s in this. I am also a new dad so I just don’t have the time or brain power to learn and I feel like it’s a big learning curve.
Maybe one day I’ll come back to it and feel differently, but I’m also okay watching everyone else enjoy it while I play something else in the limited time I have.
spread open your wallets
I’m dead
I leave that shit off currently.
My wife, however, thrives on it. That’s the game for her - recovering and rebuilding.
Would drive me nuts.
I’ve participated in the alpha and now the closed beta, which launched today.
The game is just a big cozy grind… an mmo stardew valley. So far it’s been super enjoyable.
Happy to answer any questions anyone has as the NDA ended officially.
He’s saying he’s watched about a year’s worth of anime. Not he’s only been watching anime for about a year.
Yes, I have had ongoing issues with friends on lemm.ee accessing my magazines on kbin.social, despite being federated. That problem has persisted for about a month.
I guess even the things that seem to work properly have kinks to iron out.
But that’s the whole point of the post. I’m missing posts/threads from users. It’s so much more than just subscriber count unfortunately. Votes were off as well from kbin vs Lemmy (Lemmy seems to auto upvote your own post, kbin doesn’t - which could explain some variance) but haven’t checked comments.
Respectfully, that doesn’t have anything to do with what is happening here.
Why is it that when I go to a Lemmy community from kbin I see three posts by user123 in the last 24 hours, but when I go from Lemmy I see user123 has made 12 posts in the last 24 hours?
Something is not working as intended.
Thank you! I’d boost your comment but I get an error message each time I try
It’s happened to several, but yeah, alternativenation was the one that set me off lol. I saw so many posts about so many great artists when I viewed from Lemmy! I was so bummed seeing everything I missed and didn’t even realize I was missing it!
I have also wondered about search functionality. I have a magazine that is music focused but doesn’t have the word music in it. However, with Kbin, I’m not aware (please feel free to correct me if I’m wrong, I can be a blundering idiot with technology) of a way to tag or add key search words for my magazine. So if you search for Music it will not show up. I assume Lemmy has something like that which is why something like the Punk community returns from a “music” search.
You assume I want the average redditor here.
Generating views, traffic and content for Reddit is a hopeless way to try to negatively impact Reddit.
Spend that time creating and participating in content here to drive change.
Played 2 games in beta. Then uninstalled 1. Just ripped the band-aid off. It was dead.
OW2 killed what was perfect. It deserves to rot.
I would actually just settle for not pre ordering AAA games as a good place to start.
