  • Hmm… not bad. I only watched 5ish min, but he seems genuine - that is to say, he realizes he fucked up, not that he’ll actually change anything

More interesting, to me, as someone that had only heard about this from headlines, you can clearly see the mental illness pervasive in his community by looking at the comments and even moreso by looking at the guy’s room. Dude is someone we should pity, not hate - granted I understand influencers having massive platforms, and well influence

Still, I wish we could be more like the Palestinians and Arabs he mentions, that checked on him to see if he was ok, instead of the knee-jerk, quick to react Americans we are, that are ready to pounce on a fallen neighbor enemy and eager to find ways we’re different to further divide ourselves

  • I stopped clicking on android authority links after they faked a drop test to make an iPhone look good

That said, what are people using nowadays or what. I tried skiff earlier this year and then it almost immediately announced they were stopping their email service

I can’t imagine the stress if I’d had anything important I needed to transfer to another email. I mean, besides losing everything of course

Edit: relevant absolutely ridiculous, watching it again. No shame! I wonder if they ever even addressed it

Basically. I think of it as allow yourself to get that dopamine hit, instead of doing what I do which is probably like think you should’ve done it already or see how easy that was, why didn’t you do it sooner. Fuck all that. Say good shit bro! Turned out sick

Then hopefully you can make it a habit/ritual and actually make it feel natural or even funish.

Not there yet at all myself

I recently learned about dysthymia - basically a form of long-term functioning depression. Idk why I’d never heard about it before, but it for sure resonates with my experience.

Apparently, we should be able to get ~50/50 external/internal validation. For example, most healthy people can apparently do chores or something and get an internal sense of accomplishment that supports the external validation that is having completed chores.

The problem is, for some folks (hi there) we can’t really put up the internal validation part. Like, I’d be expecting the completed chores to make me happy, but that’s just not how it works. I need to be active in validating myself and saying something like, “good job dude!”

That shit is hard - especially if it’s like the total opposite of what you heard growing up.

  • I just read it as supporting third parties. I thought you were going to mention what happens if a third party were to get more votes but not a majority. I actually don’t know. Would there still be a runoff between Dem and Rep or would the third party actually win it? I’d assume theres some rule that the third party has to win a majority or some bs

  • Dude reread this whole thing. When did they say they support sexual predators? Do you even notice what you’re doing?

They were trying to learn about what makes folks disregard Jill Stein as a third party candidate as a viable contender for president of the US.

If you were intentionally trying to make them feel dumb and yourself feel smart, this would be an excellent strat, but I’m inclined to think you don’t believe you’re doing that. You probably wish to educate people about things you know. All I’m saying, is this ain’t the way

Again, super sorry if my tone sucks. I’m specifically talking productive discourse. I don’t think that includes branding someone a sexual predator for sharing a link to an interview. We’ve fully jumped the shark here
