2·3 months agoI bet you have a neighbor that changes his own oil.
Well now see my cousin Skeeter got himself a 8k TV with that settlement money he got from when he got run over by that bmw downtown tryin to get his kids back ya know? At the courthouse? Anyway he was sposed to use that money to pay fer his doctors and whatnot but he got himself that TV and the dang thing wouldn’t fit through the door! Got her in to the trailer but couldn’t go no where so he put that sucker up right outside has movie nights the whole park can come n see. Course ol Skeet likes them naughty flicks you know with the blood and gore and titties n stuff, talkin bout like Dusk Till Dawn, talkin bout some Striptease, uh you know what’s the other one the one where the girl takes off her bathing suit Fast Times that’s the one. Anyway the boys in the neighborhood LOVE ol skeets movie nights but I think some o them parents are gonna set his trailer on fire for too long here now.

10·3 months agoFun fact, if you mix dirty engine oil and sand in a water balloon, you could completely blind any vehicles that might be nearby.
Motor oil and sand just does not come off when it’s all over motor vehicle windows.
Completely impossible to see through.
Just gonna leave that there

11·3 months agoIf someone tells you to put a gun to a guys head for trying to feed his family, on pain of not being able to feed your own family, that’s a good sign to turn the gun on the guy giving the orders.
Because he might as well have a gun pointed at them.

3·4 months agoWhat actual service are these people providing? What good is being done for society such that it justifies private jet money? How are they different than a con man sharking cards?

41·4 months agoI’m gonna be honest, I don’t remember the last time I had a problem with windows. I had some issues getting a media server set up that ended up being the router my ISP gave me, I had an issue with the 11 “upgrade” that ended up being a BIOS setting. But the last time I had an issue that was actually Windows related was on a previous computer, and my desktop is damn near geriatric.

Fun fact, John Brown had chronic back pain from carrying around the weight of his massive balls.
Actual fact: Americans don’t learn about John Brown because John Brown’s existence highlights a lot of ugly truths about American history, the American people at the time, and how corrupted the core of the American experiment really is.
First they did it to millennials, now they’re doing it again to Zoomers

32·4 months agoRuminants creating greenhouse gasses is a problem that can solve itself by returning to huge fucking pastures and cooperative farming.
Instead, we’re getting synthetic food. We’re a decade removed from human grade kibble at this point.
Here again, capitalism is the problem. A capitalist offering capitalism solutions to problems created by capitalism isn’t appealing.

Technology@lemmy.world•Chinese researchers suggest lasers and sabotage to counter Musk’s Starlink satellitesEnglish
3·4 months agoA laser heating one side of anything enough to ablate material in space will alter it’s trajectory, it’s entirely possible that objects in low earth orbit would be forced to return to earth. That’s been proposed as a possible way to deal with all the random crap in space.

8-4 to your payroll people is 8 hours less a lunch break. Because they expect you took it and went home early.
Again it’s not something that can’t be fixed, and I’m sure once in a while it would be fine. But a bunch of people doing it all the time probably causes enough extra work to need to hire someone just to take care of it.
The most unreasonably rigid people you’ve ever met will work in accounting and payroll.

The hard copies are hard to find and I don’t buy digital.
So, that explains one.
