  • A mix of cuck and submission fantasies. As someone who’s come to terms with my darker kinks, these things are never about something I literally want.

    NSFW specifics

I’d be fine with consensual non-consent roleplay in real life, but I don’t want to actually get assaulted. Voluntary submission isn’t the same as being forced against my will. The taboo nature of the fantasy helps me confront my real fear and discomfort in a safe way.

It’s the same thing with more open relationships. I’d be willing to have me or a partner get dominated in front of the other, but I hate the idea of actually cheating or being cheated on. I wouldn’t want to violate my partner’s trust or have mine be violated, even if I never get to explore that kink because a partner isn’t into it.

  • I haven’t read the light novels, but from what’s happened so far, I actually think it adds to the story. Some lesbians are manipulative abusers, and that darker side of GL is rarely shown.

From what I've read so far in the manga...

The MC refuses to fully date the possessive abuser, instead dating the best girl without any hesitation. It feels like the midpoint, so I suspect the MC will make mistakes, but that’s a very human thing to do. That’s how love can be.

At the very least, this one’s better than some of the author’s other work. That one with the stupidly long title features a closeted homophobe putting up with abuse due to financial coercion. There’s also a pedo who’s awful behavior gets played for laughs. Yikes!

There’s some creepy stuff that is common across the Japanese Otaku community. There are cases where the taboo content is handled better and actually adds to the story (see ONIMAI). However, it’s a real problem that often gets ridiculed in stories themselves. It’s not ok and should not be tolerated.
