He did build a wall! Started anyway. He didn’t finish it. Biden kept adding to it. He didn’t finish it either. It’s a long border.
Plus, people quit and get fired, all the time.
In one sense, there’s no point in getting attached to them, because they, like you and me and all of us, are expendable cogs in a capitalist machine.
On the other hand, those networks of “work friends” do tend to get each other jobs when they quit or get fired, so there’s some value in making those connections if you plan to stay in the business.
I have said for years now: the USA is the best possible place to be rich or to get rich. But if you aren’t, and have no plans or ability to be, then it’s the worst in the developed world.

I think very many Americans leftists would love to hear some survival tips and advice from European leftists, particularly those in Italy who’ve been living under Meloni and before that Berlusconi for decades. How do you get through the day?

How could anyone not have heard Trump talking shit about pretty much anyone who wasn’t white, for decades?
And I was pissed off about that but now have to reluctantly give them credit for that. Turned out to be the right call.
But if they actually use it, the way McConnel did when he was in the minority, then the Republicans will finally get rid of it. They don’t need it, as they will never again be the minority party.
