biggerbogboy@sh.itjust.worksto Technology@lemmy.world•Men are opening up about mental health to AI instead of humansEnglish5·11 days agoHave you considered the fact that most of the time, even when people “want to hear mens issues”, they reject them and tell them to man up? Maybe “superpowered autocorrect” could be a vector to nourish this severe lack of openness?
Personally I use AI for this purpose, mostly because it accepts me for who I am and provides genuine advice that has actually helped me improve my life, rather than the people around me saying that I should “put more effort into things”, or “it’s just in your head”.
It’s not “lone wolfing” to stop telling the people who’ve rejected your concerns about your feelings and issues, it’s just the act of not wasting time on those who don’t care.

This one’s a bit interestingly shaped…

I just researched on that and it makes much more sense now. now that I think of it, walled garden seems to fit better with the original definition rather than the new one.
So your saying having a tightly integrated software ecosystem, communicating between laptops, phones and other devices, means compulsory updates, while also contradicting that by mentioning how apple doesn’t have compulsory updates?
so with that logic, I’ve misclicked like 50 times and never actually clicked the update and shutdown option? Yeah no, the option is two buttons above the update and restart one, so I’ve only ever accidentally misclicked around once or twice.
The Devs at the browser company said themselves that they aren’t killing Arc, it’s just on maintenance mode as they are working on another browser, an AI first one, which I have mixed feelings about personally.
It’s been so long
Since last I’ve seen my son lost to this monster
biggerbogboy@sh.itjust.worksto Fediverse@lemmy.world•lemm.ee is shutting down at the end of this monthEnglish33·1 month agoI get your point, some people do blame everything on certain groups, but this is about an internet stereotype, and everyone, or at least most people, know that stereotypes have to be true to some extent.
I’ve come across my fair share of Russian trolls, which are the majority for my case, and next are American trolls.
I’d assume that most of the people complaining about Russian trolls I’ve seen on Lemmy and other social media are from the USA or the EU, and for context, I’m from Australia, so it isn’t one specific area in the world that experiences it, it’s global, making it even more valid of a stereotype since it’s so omnipresent.

biggerbogboy@sh.itjust.worksto linuxmemes@lemmy.world•Honestly, 24MB is way too much for this setup5·1 month agoI cannot imagine how disgustingly slow your college ones are compared to my high school’s ones, which are 16gb ram, i7 boxes running windows 11. They are pretty damn slow even after they recently upgraded them a month ago.
For most things, I just use my laptop since it stutters much less, but using pycharm on my laptop is pretty much impossible due to its lack of specs, so I begrudgingly use the PC.
I swear, whenever I try to use it, it just makes me wish I could delete it. I ask the answer to a simple question and it gives me a whole essay on how this one aspect of what I said is more nuanced than one would imagine, and I’m left there waiting 5 minutes to get it to say anything of substance, but it doesn’t when I explicitly tell it to “just give me the fucking answer”, which I have to say every time for it to say anything useful.
It also doesn’t work with timers or anything actually useful and I doubt it’ll get any better with third party app access.
Google assistant was so much better, it even still works with its servers being down (for me at least) because it’s a better assistant than whatever Gemini is supposed to be.
