I don’t think you have any idea how much the power consumption is unfortunately. The roof would cover maybe 1-10% of the power consumption of a modern data center. A single rack’s power consumption is basically the same as a neighborhood. An entire data center is more like a small country.

To be clear I’m not trying to say it’s OK they’re using gas plants, I’m just saying why the solar power Musk promised was never going to be feasible.

Edit: My bad, this is a fab, I thought it was yet another XAI datacenter. Might be more feasible, but still - for energy intensive purposes, which this is likely to be, on-site solar can offset part of the energy requirement, but generally not all of it.

As for the seatbelt sensor, honestly depends on the cost and how long you plan on keeping it. Without knowing your car, I can’t say for sure, but I suspect it’s a simple switch. The issue may very well also be in the wiring, or the switch could’ve broken loose or something (in which case you’d likely need the belt buckle receptacle thingy).

Personally I’m so annoyed by things like that, I’d fix it. It probably annoys you, and if you do end up selling it rather than keeping it, it’ll annoy the buyer.

Couldn’t message her and the match expired because they only last 24h or something on Bumble and I believe you can extend once (for 24h).

Stopped using the app shortly after that.

At least on Tinder I’d get matches. Mostly low quality (by low quality I don’t mean the person… I mean that we just didn’t have much in common), but they existed and I could message them.

Bumble removing that means it’s perhaps now usable for someone who’s not super conventionally attractive, but has enough personality to kick off a conversation. But it also means that now it’s just the same as all the other apps.

Plenty of people have laptops or old office desktops. Fiber is available pretty widely in much of the developed world and in a dense city 5G is likely to be better than copper. Availability of a decent connection is location dependent, ability to drop a grand on a console is dependent on your finances. Some people might live in a city but not have that much disposable income.

E.g in Romania, gigabit connection is 8 euros a month. Basically anyone can get it. But I don’t think bandwidth is anywhere near as important as latency. So the availability is even more location dependent

Why are we talking about 2 weeks? The baseline is 4 (UK, where the commenter is from and also same number where I’m from) and to get a meaningful increase from that it should probably be a lot more than 5 weeks.
