I have the cheapest Philips shaver. It is pretty mid. It came with its own charger. On the shaver’s side it looks like a standard ungrounded 220V female connection. But it actually is some propriety DC thingy. Very annoying. Why not just use USB-C?

That particular fairy must be employed by the dentists’ lobby, I guess 😂
I am not discussing if soda of any kind is more unhealthy than tea or not. You can drink as much soda as you want. Just don’t bullshit yourself or anybody else. You only have one argument: “I like soda, don’t take away my soda from me.” It is not a good argument but it is all you’ve got.
Diet soda contains sweeteners that are suspected to cause cancer. Granted, you’d have to drink a couple of liters of diet soda a day before you need to be seriously concerned, but tea has one big advantage: It contains as much sugar or sweeteners as you add to it, so there’s that.
Ok, in some places you might want one of those bubblers at home, I guess.
Yes, of course. Preferably tap water.
Maybe you want to have a cup of tea instead? Way more cheap and healthy. Or buy some off-brand soda. It is just as much garbage as coca cola but at least it’s cheap.
A woman invented the windshield wiper. Granted, a man inventes the whole effing rest of the car…
I used to unlock the bootloaders for a couple of years on all my phones, 10 years ago or so. I installed cyanogenmod and used it the way it was supposed to: rooted. But then Google Pay came along as well as banking apps that actually did their jobs better then the banks’ web sites. You couldn’t use either of that reliably with a rooted phone. So now I am back to stock android and I am actually quite happy with it. I like the google services, including Google Pay. Also, stock android improved a lot since the early 10s.
For integers it really doesn’t exist. An algorithm for multiplying an integer with -1 is: Invert all bits and add 1 to the right-most bit. You can do that for 0 of course, it won’t hurt.
And I am sitting here, in my rental flat in Germany and wish I had an American sliding window with an A/C-Unit built into it. Those are not a thing with those German windows :'(
Maybe. But it does so in ALL OF THE GAMES!!!
I always thought like that:
Hmmm: 1 + 2 + 3 + … + 99 + 100
Kommutativgesetz be like:
This equals:
100 +1 +
99 + 2
+98 + 3
.
.
.
And this equals:
101+
101+
101+
.
.
.
How often do I need to do this? I use up 2 numbers for each 101. I have 100 numbers total. So that’s 50x101.
Now you can think about: What if it’s 1000 instead of 100? But it#s easy from here…
I wonder if the guys here who are moaning like the snowflakes they are about Linus’ way of conveying the message (not the message itself) are from the US? I sometimes really wonder about the US mindset. The boss is critisizing you justifyably but in an inadequate tone? Hell breaks lose. But as an employee insisting on healthcare, an adequate number of days on paid time off, unionazing or at least have an able workers’ representation? Nah, that’s unheard of.
How about having some priorities? Grow a pair and chose your battles more wisely. The boss criticizes you? If he’s right, own up to your mistakes. Want some rights you are actually entitled to? Yeah, that’s what you fight for.
It’s dead Jim.
Let’s stay on topic: Environment. Human rights is a whole nother can of worms. What do you think the supply chain of whatever device you are using for lemmee right now looks like?
Back to environment: What are you doing for the environment except for judging others: I drive a car that has a very low carbon footprint regarding its whole lifespan. Also I ride to work on an E-Bike 8 out of 12 months. What are you doing?
So… I go to work by e-bike 8 out of 12 months. Whenever I take my car, I take my BEV (MG4) that I charge with electricity from renewable sources.
And you? What do you actually do for the environment?
You’re just fucking lazy.
Absolutely. Is there any context in which you can “I can’t be bothered with…” interpret as anything else as lazy? But so what? I will not ride my bike in shitty weather. And most people will do the same thing.
I have heard this for years now. This all fine. I also have an E-Bike. I really love using it. But I live in central Europe. Weather is really shitty here from October-March. I use my car then. And no, clothing for biking in bad weather is not an option for me. I really can’t be bothered to change clothes on my job. I just won’t do that.
I do have 2 monitors. But I have an opaque side panel. Case closed. Pun intended.
