Rioting won’t help anymore. The time for action was 40 years ago. We could maybe save humanity by killing almost everyone and subsisting the few remaining on a clean energy, no-fossil fuel burning, aggressive carbon recapture society. Beyond that, we are fucked.
Treat your continued existence like terminal cancer and try to live with purpose.

PC Master Race@lemmy.world•Sony Says Game Discs Not a Big Factor of Differentiation Between PlayStation & PC; Can Coexist "Peacefully" With PCEnglish
13·6 days agoMan, Sony has a RUDE awakening coming. Really the only thing consoles have going for them is ease of use and the steam machine/deck have just destroyed that advantage. People will not put up with a $70 price tag for a game they can get at a steam sale for $30. Maybe their exclusives will carry them, but those seem to be getting less and less.

Technology@lemmy.world•Reddit stock tumbles the most on record as lack of new AI deals, US daily users metric disappointsEnglish
11·7 days agoIt’s easy to see the effects of users moving to the fediverse. Reddit has been sad since it nerfed /r/All. In fact, it seems like a thinly veiled attempt to control what its users see under the guise of providing a more tailored user experience. For me, the overall effect is that it’s homogeneous, boring and I don’t want to be there anymore.
It’s about 10 feet from where I sleep to where I work. I love my commute.
