Tbf I don’t think CSC Serviceworks intentionally stole residents money. They just ignored the problems … like you’re doing rn.
His work around is here.

Lots of places forbide it, on the off chance it floods the unit. There’s also the thing (when renting an older unit) where water usage is included in the rent … and they don’t want you using more than they allot in their assessments.
Can’t have anyone dipping into their profits.
Double dipping right there. Make money on rent AND selling renter’s data. Capitalism at it’s best. :/
Well businesses are people too ya know!

I can’t wait to see what a crystal hologram reader is gonna cost. :-p
Trying to teach my in-laws not to do that was impossible.
On hand at the launch (of The Institute at Ben-Gurion University), according to coverage, were officials from global firms like Microsoft and General Motors, as well as top-tier Israeli politicians, like Herzog, the president. (A spokesperson for GM told The Intercept they could not confirm the company’s attendance.)
An American auto maker showing up at the opening of a secretive cyberspying training academy in Israel is concerning.

A small blurb from The Guardian on why Andres Freund went looking in the first place.
So how was it spotted? A single Microsoft developer was annoyed that a system was running slowly. That’s it. The developer, Andres Freund, was trying to uncover why a system running a beta version of Debian, a Linux distribution, was lagging when making encrypted connections. That lag was all of half a second, for logins. That’s it: before, it took Freund 0.3s to login, and after, it took 0.8s. That annoyance was enough to cause him to break out the metaphorical spanner and pull his system apart to find the cause of the problem.
Patent trolls rank right up there with private equity firms that own massive amounts of housing. Scum of the earth right here.
The HeLa line had its own male-dominated issues, ie: denying her family a right to any money from the use of her genetics … which, once rectified, led to a signing away of any rights for people who have an interest in helping advance scientific and medical knowledge and/or treatments.
I know this because I was asked to become part of a study, but after reading the contract that clearly stated I (and my family/descendants) would be shut out of any and all financial compensation, I declined.
While I agree with this if/when a government agency or university developes treatments or cures, I do not agree with it when the info is given freely to for-profit big pharma for them to make trillions from.
Beyond mice, researchers also examined blood samples from 100 patients — and uncovered autoantibodies targeting Xist-associated proteins that scientists hadn’t previously linked to autoimmune disorders. A potential reason, Chang suggests: standard tests for autoimmunity were made using male cells.
I’m am glad they decided to look at other samples. As a woman I find it extremely frustrating that science is still using male cells, testing standards, etc to diagnose and treat women.
The article is pretty graphic with her accusations. If they’re proven true (she has texts, etc) this may the end of McMahon and Laurinaitis.
I hate the constant creep into areas they don’t need to be. It’s no wonder so many of us stick with a stable OS for years, just so we avoid this stalking.
I held onto XP until 2011, and Win 7 until last year.
“One minor observation before we deal with the homelessness stuff is that I am constantly fascinated by how often the right invokes “purple hair” as a sign of everything that’s wrong with the country. It interests me in part because it seems to be an admission that even mild cultural nonconformity (non-approved hair colors, a piercing in the wrong place) upsets the right. To me, this proves that those who say they are on the side of “individualism” and “freedom” in fact believe in a stiflingly narrow set of possible ways to exist, and dislike even the most modest deviation from its arbitrary norms.”
This is the what angers me as well. Conformity is simply enforcing a mindset that leaves zero room for the individual, and it’s rampant in everything from religion to politics to students in a classroom.
The left doesn’t want everyone to be left in the same way the right does. We just want the right to see though the lies and stupidity of thinking we should all be exactly the same.
That’s freaking awesome!! Love Nick. He’s the best.
