An NDA doesn’t force someone to talk/not talk about anything. It just creates a strong incentive to not talk about the topics included in the NDA or anything that might arguably fall under those topics because it opens one up to penalties. Many people can and do use NDAs as an excuse not to share information, with some even using a false implication that an NDA exists which prevents them sharing inconvenient information.

I had a coworker send me an AI email, it mentioned something the coworker should have seen and been able to figure it out. When I replied explaining what she should have done, she claimed to be ignorant of like half of what her email said and claimed there was no way for her to find the info she had already provided in her email.

She just flat out had no idea what she had emailed, hadn’t read my response either.

She just shoved it into her chatbot, and her chatbot forgot everything it had already said so it generated new claims.

It’s bad enough trying to explain things to idiots, now I have to explain to a shitty chatbot so it agrees with me cuz coworkers just trust AI. Especially since there’s a chance the person using the chatbot, keeps asking it till they get it to say what they want.

If you had told a class 30 years ago the same thing, the same result would have happened.

Saying if you don’t match you only get the worse score, is going to discourage a shit ton of students.

The real problem is “closed book take home”. And professors expecting students to not open the book. It’s nothing about them, it’s the current culture. If you don’t cheat you can’t compete. Elite places like Ivy League schools will always be full of cheaters in this climate, because they’ll out compete people with ethics.

I don’t think they have licensed it per use, it was likely a flat fee and now they’re desperate to recoup it. They can’t do it by sales, so it’s monthly fees.

It might not even be this directly, but some other license and this is just where they can squeeze consumers. They might have even just picked what gets used the most

The lesson should be to let studios do what they’re good at. They need to find a good studio they trust, give them BG4, and trust them to make a good game even if fundamentally different than bg3 or bg2.

It’s the antithesis of COD or Madden that release carbon copies every year, give people a new game with a familiar setting

The smart move would be to do it immediately after release date drops.

Give them an hour or two to grab all the headlines, then announce a strike and overwrite all the headlines and steal all the buzz.

Tie any eventual delay to that initial delay caused by their treatment of employees.

With how slow these games come out, this is a once in a decade opportunity, possibly once in a generation.
