No need to worry! Soon they’ll bring mandatory age/identity verifcation, and the kids won’t see such content randomly… they’ll be specifically targeted with it xD

No worries @sbeak, I just wanted to add a bit more to your comment for the people who don’t have experience with GrapheneOS or other FOSS ROMs. Also, now CalyxOS is back which it great :)

You obviously should ditch the package manager and install everything with ./configure --prefix=/usr && make && make install. And no, I didn’t miss sudo in front of make install, I missed it in front of su - :)

The problem with regulators is that they a) gladly suck corporate dicks, b) gladly opt-in for the same authoritarian methods of population control, and c) gladly ignore common sense altogether.

The only important question is: will it support GrapheneOS? Which we don’t yet have answer for.

Who could’ve thought that gender-washing companies are hostile to underrepresented genders? It’s almost as much of a surprise as that green-washing companies are hostile to the environment!

I think that would be the next step, once they get enough idiots to hook onto that shit. For now, I believe, the ads are only on the platforms to which they’ve already hooked everyone. But I’m also an optimist, huh xD

Great overview! One thing to add here is this amazing comparison of the afrorementioned options: https://eylenburg.github.io/android_comparison.htm
Regarding GrapheneOS, there are a few things that distinguish it from the rest:

“They’ve stolen our rightfully stolen data!”, said the spokesman.

They can just go fuck themselves.

Oh my god! That’s disgusting! How?

Even if you can’t have a GrapheneOS-powered phone, you still can have GrapheneOS camera: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.grapheneos.camera.play
It isn’t as feature-rich as OpenCamera or even native camera, but it does the job and it doesn’t spy on you.

You are absolutely right to question that! Let me check…

I guess they already have more than enough downtime…
