Is it saying that the PHP developers are kids and the C++ developer is acting as their parent?
I’m not sure.

I used to hate that they had a consent option and a legitimate interest option for the same thing. It wasn’t clear what would happen if I agreed to one and not the other.
Then they started being explicit and saying that these “partners” require consent and these others require you to object to their legitimate interest and now I hate it more because there are hundreds of these “partners”.
There was a piece on a fairly recent Smashing Security podcast that said that some car manufacturers are sending data to the insurance companies anyway.

I completed this game and thought to myself “I’ve never heard of that 7 letter game” 😂
They seem to have things backwards.
You don’t set expected sales based on the cost of development. You set the cost of development based on the expected sales.
If you want to fork the repo then you make a commit to the original repo giving yourself rights then you make the fork and you’re golden.
I do drink frequently when I go cycling or walking.
Just because it’s essential for life doesn’t mean that people have to like it. I really don’t like drinking water unless it’s just out of the fridge or cooler. I always add cordial to it.
I find it to be very off putting that Baldur’s Gate 3 doesn’t have voice actors for the main character.
There are so many different races that would have different voices and different accents that it wouldn’t be financially viable to do that with voice actors either.
I don’t understand why people think that it’s acceptable.
As developers, we’ve had it drummed into us from day one that variable names are important and shouldn’t be one or two letters.
Yet developers deliberately alias an easy to read table name such as “customer” into “c” because that’s the first letter of the table. I’m sure that it’s more work to do that with auto completion meaning that you don’t even need to type out “customer”.
If you want to experience frustration try getting your business verified on Facebook if Facebook haven’t already decided that your business needs to be verified.
All we want is to integrate WhatsApp with our support desk software but you can’t do that without your business being verified. It’s a b2b company so we have no use for Facebook other than for this purpose which means that they won’t flag us as needing verification and there’s no way to contact them about it.
I think that an element needs to be solid or liquid to be licked so a lot of those greens shouldn’t be. I don’t want to lick liquid hydrogen.
I like how page 1 says not to wear masks because they are bad put page 2 implies that you must wear a mask because getting the vaccine won’t allow you to not wear masks.
Not really. I refer to our shed as the shed. It’s obviously not the only shed in the world.
People tend to use the whatever when there is one whatever that is obviously more relevant to the conversation than the others.
Wouldn’t every country refer to the civil war that happened in their country as the civil war. Assuming that they only had one … we’ve had a few in the UK so they have their own names.
The phones are mental too.
The Xperia range have a model number to denote the different models (similar to Samsung’s S and A) and a version number so if you say the phone’s full name it’s the Xperia 10 5 but the version number is in Roman numerals so it’s written Xperia 10 V, Xperia 5 IV, Xperia 1 V etc.
Yeah. You have unlimited data but they don’t want you to actually use that.
They take the risk that you’re not going to use more than they want you to from your phone but it is very likely that you’ll use it from your computer or if you connect multiple devices to your phone.
I find the idea to be reasonable because they can’t actually supply everyone with unlimited data but they really shouldn’t be calling it unlimited if there are any limits.
If the computer is owned by a company or institution they shouldn’t see this anyway. They should either be using Microsoft work or school accounts or they should be using local accounts and the admin should set the required registry settings for them.
I think that they could be using their own computer but they have to use Windows to be able to use whatever Respondus is.
Because recycling glass is more expensive than not recycling plastic.
It’s on the xkcd chart of good and bad ideas.
https://xkcd.com/2929/
Listed as sounds like a bad idea but is actually a good idea.
