woah holy shit a bio?
Is Comic Sans ADHD friendly?
If you have ADHD you know that nothing is friendly. Or everything can be. Or something that triggers feel good becomes interesting and good. Maybe you know why you asked the question, maybe it doesn’t matter. Maybe I forgot why i started answering this in the first place.
Point is maybe?
Wait how would the mirror cells consume anything that normals cells do?
Wouldn’t they be entirely dependant on mirrored organic molecules? Which we dont have anyway?
I imagine the children with these things are emotionally disregulated in some way shape or form. A small group of children sometimes don’t learn to self soothe when they are very young, others in ASD struggle with it for a lifetime. Some with ADHD have a very difficult time when their medicine wears off and their emotions kick back in to overdrive.
For all those groups I mentioned, the whole concept of this thing was almost brilliant. Something that they can go to knowing it will be able to help them guide through emotions while mom and dad are doing something necessary like cooking or fixing something outside, or in the bathroom.
If you haven’t had to deal with a child that has emotional regulation problems, then it is hard to explain the difficulty that the failure of this device will make. It is true that they will adapt it, they always do, that’s how things work. The problem is that the emotional disregulation leads to broken things at home, aggressive behaviors with peers, getting kicked out of preschool and day care, etc.
It truly is a nightmare scenario. The parents have to prepare for all of these things and a new way to help their child through the limited existing means.
Man those parents. Oof.
I do not wanna be in their shoes.
Telling your kid that needed an emotional support robot friend that the robot friend is going to take a nap for a long time and might not wake back up? Ooo boy.
Helping a kid through a divorce is hard enough. This seems like a terrifying nightmare.
The only thing I can see this affecting is the Secure-boot requirement.
Which is very odd to consider that anything compatibility related would likely have nothing to do with secure boot, and everything to do with Windows being Windows.
No, it’s not.
The US Dollar is a fiat currency. The value is merely what the market dictates amongst trading frequency and how much debt is held in it.
It’s backed by nothing. A dollar has a made up value. In the1970s Nixon ended the US gold Standard, and those with property, not the government who held the gold, got to dictate it. Same thing through today.
Wait what?
No, dictators fucking love central banks and fiat currency.
They like it even better than anything, because a dictator almost always controls the central bank. Plus, the dictator and his buddies almost always own everything, and when you own property you need fiat currency to stay in power. Fiat currency inevitably leads to hyperinflation. With hyperinflation, you get way wealthier owning property than having cash. At that point they don’t need the central bank that they control.
Oh that would be a neat challenge.
AI security guards (which I can only imagine look like Daleks from Dr Who) vs the public. How long before they just outright massacre a crowd?
Or, better yet, what happens when people start using drones as flying pipe bombs and the robots can’t even aim at it.
Ooooh or better yet, we can create devices that create a distraction for the AI robots.
Or, since I am pretty sure they’d be using some wireless connection of some sort, bring a signal jammer and just push em over.
I don’t particularly like the comparison because I really enjoyed his performance as Paul
But you can’t argue with results
To be fair
He did get the steam deck made, so that was kinda cool.
But maybe owning 6 yachts is a little less cool.
Unless the sub and boats were like research vessels he funds, that would be cool
But they aren’t.
Why can’t billionaires dump their money into funding scientific research? It’s not like there aren’t scientists out there with plenty of research to be done.
Or even maybe wherever he lives, he could like, fund the entire county school districts for the rest of existence and no one would have to worry about taxes.
Or maybe regularly cancel the medical debt of Valve employees and their families.
Like how fucking hard is it to redistribute your own wealth?
Like fucking Christ, that’s the part I don’t understand. They complain about taxes and shit at the top, but they do absolutely fuck all to make things better for large swaths of people. Or if they do, it’s after they die and $200m gets donated to a university and it prevents next year’s tuition from increasing.
Like you said, it’s hard to not be on security cameras, and they only shared the video of the attack that had a couple of frames of the upper half of his face. So they are looking for someone with the upper half of their face.
To me it seems like a really dumb idea for the police or news to share that the bullets had “Deny, Defend, Depose” engraved on them. You can’t tell me that they wouldn’t have known that it would energize everyone like that.
I have to appreciate the skepticism, and of course it could have been a hired hit, or schizo ramblings. But there were other people who were in the area, and I bet they “didn’t see anything.”
I highly doubt the schizo thing though. Psychosis won’t allow someone to be this careful.
The problem with the hitman theory is that it painted a target on all of these executives and board members. Including whoever could have hired the hit. Hell, it could have been a Russian assassin brought in by Trump to stir things up, and it backfired. If that ended up being the case, Trump would then face a lot of opposition from the elite.
To me, it really comes down to the fact that the motive isn’t what is important. What’s important is that so many millions of people have a motive, and now witnessed vulnerability in the elite that hurt them and killed family or friends.
Everything I got offers for were weapons platforms, fire control systems, or guidance.
The exact same time I was going through these a cruise missile in Yemen hit a school bus full of kids - obviously one American made sold to the Saudis.
My kid wasn’t in school yet, but I looked at him, shook my head and said nope. Can’t do it. Won’t do it. Turns out I do value things other than fun projects and money, and by a huge margin.
Well, it was a good statement.
He put the fear in the elite. But clearly not enough.
Yet, they only shared one video.
Interesting isn’t it?
And it’s open source!
I don’t see anything
It’s the manifesto he left and that he did it on the security camera.
This assassin did this with extreme precision and enough awareness that he knew the camera was there.
It wasn’t a hired hit. This was a statement.
