2·5 months agoIt depends on the use case. For incremental changes and validation of hypotheses in an uncertain or new product Agile is great. It allows for fast valuation and fast pivoting. I would not recommend Agile for systems that are mostly known and need a big upgrade, that’s not what its for.
Agile became a buzzword and shouldn’t have been implemented as widespread as it has. It does have its use cases though.
I’ve never had an issue of this gravity on Windows. I use Linux and it has its issues as well. Stability is not why I use Linux lmao

1·5 months agoYes, but most companies have such bad data management that it probably gets lost or overwritten very soon.

1·5 months agoI think you overestimate the efficacy of the vast majority of IT systems. My wife worked on a thumb print scanner and they never store more than a day’s worth of data before getting overwritten because why would you.
I don’t get the reference

The most items I had on my work desktop was 1366, they were overlapping on my screen and windows+D would lag the whole computer. It was glorious.

Technology@lemmy.world•Perplexity offers to buy Google Chrome for $34.5 billionEnglish
3·5 months agoI did some checking around on the web and it seems that the partnership is a standard API license where Perplexity provides the technical infrastructure and Truth Social makes requests to there. The AI does contradict Trump regularly according to the Washington post: https://www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2025/08/10/truth-social-trump-ai-chatbot-perplexity/
So I’m not sure if this is massively wrong. Or at least, not as bad as I thought it would be.
Bro is this USA stuff? I stayed in many, many hotels in Europe and Latin America and the absolute worst I had were pieces of toast with butter, cheese, coffee, orange juice, tea, and fruits. And that was a shady backwater hotel.

8·5 months agoGoshdarnit, and I was really enjoying perplexity and its relatively low hallucinations and good sourcing of information.
Yup, there seems to be misinformation there. Even perplexity gets it wrong, but does say there’s some inconsistency between websites.

Nice showerhead? That’s the most basic showerhead in Brazil, far fromanything fancy.
