This is literally illegal where I live. There’s a few exceptions like airline pilot, police or firefighter, but besides that it’s considered discrimination.

31·14 hours agoYes. You take something out of context to make it look stupid. A 93% DNA match is extremely stupid, just like a 93% AI facial match.

If 93% is enough you could just take any ape at that point.

Technology@lemmy.world•Gaming PC deflects bullet shot through wall by neighbour, saving owner's life — criminal negligence charges for culprit who claims 'firearm was accidentally discharged by her dog'English
6·19 hours agoI believe that in my country shared walls need to be at least REI60 rated (DIN EN 13501-2). REI60 means the load bearing, integrity and thermal resistance hold up for at least 60 minutes during a fire. This almost always means brick walls. I think even if your house is within x amount of meters from another house it also needs to be REI60.

163·2 days agoI hate this.
People who are going to get scammed like this will get scammed in much stupider ways too. Not to mention the stores around here have most Steam gift cards right next to the Paysafe cards.

24·4 days agoYes I did. Twice now to make sure I didn’t read over something. But I also read the original GitHub PR while it was still open. And what you linked is just an opinion on the situation.
I’m on the side of the maintainer. Always have been, always will. You want to be politically correct? Go into politics. Or at least wait until they start translating and branding. There’s no need to go and change something that meaningless. It shows you actively went and searched for it, instead of actually helping out the project or staying out of their way.

6·5 days agoI don’t pay for a VPN but I do pay for a debrid. TorBox has a $3/month plan and it allows you to download torrents at 1Gbps from HTTPS endpoints with a no-logs policy.
