White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters on Wednesday that the White House hoped the Senate would quickly take up the bipartisan House bill that would force TikTok to cut ties with its parent company ByteDance or be banned in the U.S., Reuters reported . The bill passed the House 352-65 on Wednesday, the furthest any federal effort to ban TikTok has ever advanced.
