I was looking at getting some roguelikes / lites (already have ToME, CoQ), unfortunately Cataclysm DDA is not on sale.
Krone Hotel at 90% off looks like a decent choice too. Then there’s Jupiter Hell, which I recently stumbled upon and looks great too.
I’d also like to get some of the FF games, though I’ve played VI, VII, IX and a bit of XII, it would be nice to revisit some of the older ones I haven’t played almost since the PSX era.

My new Steam Deck.
An excellent choice. Which model did you opt for?
The most wallet-friendly choice is getting the 64gb model and a SD card or a bigger 2230 SSD.
- Had enough rewards points from work to combine with my existing steam wallet to cover all but 9 bucks of it. I’ll upgrade the drive later.
Heck you could upgrade the screen later if you are feeling daring enough!
You know that Cataclysm DDA is Free software, right ?
Just open the terminal and execute
sudo pacman -S cataclysm-ddaI finally picked up Graveyard Keeper and all the DLC. Really fun game and plays great on the Steam Deck.
Hades :)
Hades is sooooo good!
It is unlikely that Cataclysm ever goes on sale, because the steam release basically is just a donation. You can get the game for free on the official website: https://cataclysmdda.org
There you can also donate other amounts than the Steam price.
I got a steamdeck. Should receive it Tuesday or Wednesday.
Necesse. It’s like top-down Terraria with colonists that organize your chests for you. Great early game content, anyway.
How do you like the controller support? Well. If you’ve tried it.
Not the guy you responded to, but I have experience with the game and stream deck.
The controller works fine, although I can’t help but think some buttons for actions are incorrect. Like cancel on one menu is one button, but a different button elsewhere. I believe controller support was somewhat recently added though so maybe it’s just not fully baked.
I suppose I could contact the author and let them know my feedback.
Thinking of picking up Stray. My GF loves cats and has been waiting for a sale.
I really want to get Systen Shock remake, and maybe even the Final Fantasy* arpg, stranger something something.
I also ran across these two indies, Fear and Hunger 1&2 that look very interesting and are very affordable.
I went crazy on some colony sims like ‘Foundation’ and ‘Kingdom’s & Castles’. Loving them both!
How is foundation?
The gridless building system it has is really interesting, and the organic paths really makes it feel like your town is forming rather then being placed down. Managing the town is very like Banished but I loved that game so no issues with that! Would absolutely recommend 👍🏻
Nice! Thanks for the deets. I’m gonna go check it out.
I just picked up a steam deck!
@philz Me too, lol. The most expensive version. And with the remaining Wallet balance, I got these 4 gems.
I think I’m going to pick up control.
I’ve been toying with the idea for a while now and 75% off is really hard to argue against.
I just picked up Detroit Become Human to play with my partner. Its one of her favorite games and I know nothing about it
Looks like this is when I finally buy Dead Cells, kinda surprised it took this long
