Seems like magpies are learning bad habits from humans.
Just watched one casually cross the road slowly
without any care for the world. Didn’t even fly away when I approached it in the car, simply brushed off the encounter when I had to drive around it.

I’m constantly amazed that birds choose to walk off the road to avoid cars
