Hello, there’s been a recent spate of trolling incidents in this community. Some have been posting racist and illegal things . The mod team us currently too small to handle this.
Requirements.

A discord account. The lemmy world mod team currently have a discord set up which will allow for better communication with admins and other mods. It’s preferable that you have one so we can communicate better.

Non UTC is preferable: the biggest deficiency at the moment is during night time hours in UTC therefore we are looking for candidates that are not UTC.

I can help out too if you want. I’ve modded communities for the past two decades, including a few here on Lemmy now. I pretty much check Lemmy several times a day since my job has a lot of downtime. I’m also a night owl who currently lives on the US West Coast, so I’m active during the later part of the UTC hours.
My only detraction is that I’m not really a content generator, though I do make comments when I’ve got something worthwhile to contribute to a discussion.
I’m also familiar with Discord, and can easily join that too.
