If I’ve learnt anything from the NoContextComics comm, it’s that Rule 34 artists didn’t just pop into existence with the advent of the Internet.
Wally Wood was a long time illustrator. He was one of the few artists who did underground stuff and main stream comics.

My favorite story about him goes like this. He created Power Girl as an alternate world Supergirl. After the first issue he started drawing her boobs bigger and bigger. He said he’d stop when someone noticed and/or complained.
Very noticeable while reading the Archie comics. Even without the edited panels you see floating around, they can be quite the thirst trap.
