Today has been a weird day.
I met a friend at Melbourne Central (can I just say how much I dislike Melbourne Central?) and someone said I dropped $10. All of my bag zips were closed, unless I was seeing things and they actually weren’t? I told the guy it wasn’t mine, so he picked it up and walked into Coles. If it was mine, free treat for him.
Then on the bus ride back, a lady kept eyeing me and then yelled at me and all subsequent non-Myki tappers, “Tap on or get off.”
Should be the new inspector slogan. She was telling the driver how she would stand out the front of the bus and say that to people. Distracting the driver much?
I rarely tap on on that bus route, so if I get doxxed here, maybe put more AOs along the way. Apparently they use myki for patronage data so they can upgrade the system in areas that need it.

It really depends on what that something is, but if it’s something like your regular bikini wax it’s totally reasonable. I usually err on the side of calling because delays are usually the result of a fuckup. Gotta be on the ball to make stuff happen.

I had to get a replacement connection box thingy for the new house. They said there’d be no tracking, and it wouldn’t require a signature, but it parcel matched to my my post account even though I haven’t entered the new address yet. Guess they must’ve written my email and phone number on the box. In any case, it does need a signature, but it’s coming express post from Sydney, so I redirected it to my current house and told them to leave it. Maybe it’ll push the others through

Finished S3 of the Taskmaster Australia. Really grown fond of the show was looking forward towards S4. Found out that David Hughes will be on it, and it’s completely killed my excitement for it.

I hear on the radio a couple of times a week, so knew who she was. Had moments, but overall was the worst from the season.
Yeah, tried waaaay too hard to be funny and didn’t come of as natural. On the flipside, Aaron Chen was absolutely fantastic all season.
season 2 of the NZ one is absolutely brilliant as well, cant speak for the others.

David Hughes is a hard no from me. It’s not just the voice, it’s also the general attitude. He’s a cutterdown, not a lifterup and I’m too old to bother with that shit. Reminds me too much of those dreadful US tv sitcoms that play in pizza parlours. A theatre of casual cruelty, not even comedy/tragedy, punctuated with insane mechanical laughter.

I ordered it at 8:08am on Thursday morning, 8 minutes after their black Friday bs (which the vinyl was a part of) opened up. They evidently didn’t put one aside quickly enough, so they just cancelled my order

My zucchini have two fullblown flowers now, they’re both male flowers but more are budding.
The fruits will both be male too 🍆
They always start with a few boys, just in case there is already another plant around with the resources to produce fruit. They tend to do the same when they start dying off - as far as zucchini are concerned men are cheap!
I found with only a couple of plants that having a male and female flower at the same time could be difficult You can put the stamen of a male flower into a plastic bag in the fridge for a day or two and use it to pollinate a female flower later. If you don’t have enough bee action around you might need to hand pollinate even when you can get the flowers synchronised.
I haven’t planted zucchini this year as I’m winding the garden down in anticipation of the place being sold next year, but I did pick up a bunch of zucchini at the food cupboard this morning. I can probably count it as a return on the zucchini I donated last year when my plants were producing.
I have four plants and some male and female flowers seem to be budding up at the same time 🤞
I plan to use a cotton bud or a cheap paintbrush to ensure pollination
I just pulled the male flower off and applied the stamen directly. Works well & less fuss.
Like those male anglerfish that attach themselves to a female and just turn into gonads lol! That’s all males are good for, their gonads 😂 Jk jk
We’re all just a reproduction tool for our DNA. Some of use get to live interesting and meaningful lives whilst engaged in that reproduction, others are just gonads.
