I’ll never forget that sheer confounded rage I felt when I installed the game after a few years and suddenly didnt have any of the content I had paid for anymore. ~$120 at least was just fucking gone. They never even responded to my emails about it either. Garbage
Except seasonal content. I wouldn’t care about the activities, but there is story stuff that directly continues story of one expansion and also leads into the next. Sometimes it is standalone, but also may or may not end up relevant later.
I was really into Destiny but once I got off that train it felt like I just can’t jump back on.
Sunsetting killed the game for me too, I wasn’t able to replace ever piece of gear to keep my stat split correct and there were still entire element and weapon types missing entirely a year after it went into effect. I took a break, then a longer break, then never went back because I felt like I missed too much.
I heard they fully un-sunset everything they had sunset, but at this point I have zero desire to play the game anymore. This is after having played thousands of hours and having D2 as the only game I played for much of that time. As a 50/50 PVE and PVP player, the slow death of PVP and the removal of half the raids kills the game for me.
In fairness, they did stop deleting content… but at the same time they stubbornly refuse to restore the content already deleted…

I completely stopped playing when they sunsetted the equipment that made my somewhat unusual warlock build work.

I had a rad cloak for my Hunter. They sunsetted it. Why was I even playing from then out.
I hate that they deleted stuff but I can understand arguments against the size. It’s at 130GB without all of that missing content.
I can’t. There are games that are even bigger than that. Red Dead 2, for instance.
Jedi Survivor.
Master Chief Collection.
Any other actually big game that’s come out in the last ten years.
Edit: I actually found 25 of the Biggest Games By File Size
Then make it optional 🤷♂️
I’m seeing reports of Black Ops 6 being 300?
But seriously, 130GB isn’t awful considering at the time most people had ALREADY downloaded it in smaller pieces.
Apparently it’s not that big
