A bit of a bummer, but the writers and actors getting a fair shake is more important in the long run.
Full support for the strike.
I am willing to wait as long as the writers and actors are better compensated.
Yup. I’m gutted I won’t be able to see the shiny film but full solidarity with the workers.
Uhg, I wish they would just give the writers and actors what they want already. Dang movie execs.
What they deserve.
Potato potato, who says they cant want more than they deserve or deserve more than they want? Just give them whatever and then some, I don’t care as long as they are happy.
and that’s how 2024-2030 became the new golden age for books and literature.
Hollywood execs hope that this move will make me blame the writers for striking.
Meanwhile I’m just pleasantly reading more.
I just grabbed another book from our local library yesterday!
TAKE YOUR TIME
Solidarity to the workers
I will wait for as long as i need to. Full support for the writers, and I’m glad they DID delay the movie instead of just getting chatgpt to poop out interim “writing”
Honestly wish nothing but the best for the writers and actors and hope they can strike for as long as they need to. Genuinely I do.
Wouldn’t it have been completely written and shot by now? Are vfx workers in on the strike? I assume so and support that, but I think this particular title is past being held up by writers and actors.
I think they are stretching up whatever material they have so they don’t run out of it until they can resume productions.
The reason given is that the actors aren’t available to do promotion in the lead up to a november release.
I don’t know enough about the effect of that kind of marketing to really say if that’s a reasonable excuse or not. I want to film to be a financial success, but I’m also someone who literally had the iMax page bookmarked and I’d check it every day to see if there was news on tickets. It doesn’t necessarily feel like a title that’s going to require a lot of marketing effort (the first film essentially is the marketing), but I could be off base.
