Seriously though, this is the tech layer we all really need and I fear no one is developing. I don’t mean the obvious “scan your digital government ID to start the call” but just the equivalent of a CAPCHA. Probably a hand mirror is all you really need.
A creator got impersonated and a fan scammed out $17k. The detective even shows the creator an AI video impersonation. I can easily spot it as a fake but in a few years it’ll be nearly impossible.
Happy ending. The victim got scammed $17k for a custom table she never got and the creator surprised her with her desired dream table.
Years? Yeah that’ll be the end of this year, at most.
