I end up with all the “broken” laptops my family replaces after they buy new ones.

I’ve got like 9 laptops. Active ones are my Linux one, work one (windows 11) and my wife’s school one (windows 11). We both have win 10 desktops still.

I’m between living locations and can’t carry my desktop around.

So I grabbed an old laptop and put Linux mint on it. It’s been near perfect. Extremely smooth experience.

It detected my printer and auto installed. I installed steam and played Terraria without issue. Small performance problem but I don’t have a GPU. Even works good with my docking station.

My only complaint is the audio device doesn’t switch automatically when I dock/undock.

I’d recommend making a USB and boot into it for a test drive.

This is my issue. Now I use water additives like PureLemon and MIO to spike em. I try to drink 4-8 cups a day and feel better when I do.

I still slip into my days of 4 cups of coffee with no water often.

First thing I learned in a video course was setting a spending budget for your account. I set a $10/month limit and never broke it in 6 years.

So now my powershell modules freak out due to being locked/syncing.

I just switched to Linux and got a new win11 laptop for my wife.

Had to install a old HP Laser MFC (going to switch to brother when I run out of toner).

It just worked on Linux mint. Auto installed. Printing and scanning.
On win10 worked automatically. Printing and scanning.
On Win 11 it installed with a generic driver and printed fine but not scanning. Had to get the win10 driver from the site… WTH.
