Mark Zuckerberg has used Meta’s might to push Threads to a fast start — but that may only work up to a point.
To be fair, I think the Zuck-bot has a better shot at eating the Muskrat’s lunch than Google+ had of taking on Facebook, because Facebook basically worked fine at the time, while Twitter is now a stinking pile of fetid garbage that not even the most avid users can excuse anymore.
That said, I’d really like to see both festering boils on the ass of the internet suffer ignominious deaths.
You have an eloquent way with words.
Why thank you! It’s nice to be noticed, even when it’s only in the context of accurately describing Zuckerberg and Musk, two swollen, near-ruptured testicles dangling near the internet’s moist, spongy taint.
Haha, perfect.
The Google+ comparison is off the mark, I think. Google has deep seated issues that make them dysfunctional in certain things: basically, they are terrible at dealing with human beings. Whatever you might say about Facebook/Meta, they know how to run a social media network.
Comparing the launches of Google+ to Threads shows the disparity. That thing Meta did about signing up influencers to pre-populate the network? A cheap little trick, but effective, and Google could never pull it off.
