    NBD, I mean gross, especially since they were all over our toilet, but still better than a leak with no clear source under a house with wooden joists.

    Got an interview for the place that headhunted me on Thursday.

    Where I am now is ok, just a bit of a dead end as far as IT goes. Small to medium sized software company. But the pay is 15% better at the other place.

    Let’s see how we go. I’ll give em the ol razzle dazzle lol

      There’s heaps of different themes (they call them Skins in the wiki), or UIs I guess. I’m currently running Amber with a few tweaks through the setting of the theme itself. The default I think is called Confluence maybe… There’s lots you can try, even ones that make it look like an apple Tv.

      Edit. Would also recommend looking into real-debrid and running the Seren add-on.

    If one more person tries to push something through before Christmas I’m gonna tell them to f off. My manager knows what I’ve got on, if they wanna push something through they can. Everyone else can get stuffed. Only 4 days left, god forbid we just coast to shutdown.

Boss keeps trying to ramp up stuff with sites and I’m like “dude, you may have been producing content longer, but Ive been front line with the cinemas for 12 fucking years, outside of emergency repairs no one’s doing shit to their equipment until after the holiday rush. All you’re doing is pissing me AND them off.”

    In case anybody hasn’t seen, our instance updated and this new version of Lemmy has made enabling 2 factor authentication really really easy to set up. Before you had to fuck around with the settings and get a long code, type that out in your auth app, and then get another long code and type it into your account, but now it’s just like setting up any other 2fa system: you scan a QR code in your auth app and you’re linked!

    Also everybody’s 2fa has been turned off, so if you previously had it setup you need to do it again

    And for anyone who didn’t have it, now’s a great time to turn it on! I can recommend authy, as it has device sync and backups (so if you break or lose your phone, you can recover your 2fa codes and still log in)

    Ok this is the last thing I’m gonna say on this matter. I’ve saved my dets on Chrome. I’ve written it in my book. I’ll get the man to save it on every possible thing he can think of.

    The reason I persevered is because I actually like you guys and it’s a pretty positive atmosphere here and I’m a positive person.

    I fucking hate technology. I have a headache.

      i gave up and set up a new account because i swear my password is correct because it’s my only saved password on chrome, but it just wouldn’t go through

        I tried everything. New account several times. I set up a new email. Then I’m sitting having my coffee and I thought I know my password is somewhat correct what about if I try 2 of my passwords together and it worked. Jfc. I’ve been trying since 6pm last night.

        I swear when I got logged out the conversation between my husband and I went something like "have you tried Google’s thingy tdhvo5s#%@&/4"“pqsqueezing your left teste and then check your emails?”. Me: huh. You do it. I’ll make coffees.

      I use a password manager called Bitwarden.

      It can be used with phones and tablets and also has extensions for browsers.

      Might be handy to also use it as well in combo with everything you’re already doing.

    Combination of a few things has meant last week was extremely quiet at work, haven’t had to do much at all. Looks like it’s going to stay that way for the rest of the week until we close for Christmas on Thursday! A welcome relief with other nonsense at work still ongoing

      I got lucky this year with work and it was quiet for the last few days, normally it’s hectic as crap.

      By the way not sure if you saw my post from yesterday but kippers at Woolies are on sale for 2 bucks this week.
