This mod aims to improve performance, stability & consistency for the Steam Deck & other low powered handhelds/PCs. Offering large performance improvements
I haven’t tried it. I did notice that on my PC, a stable 60fps at 1080p pushes my GTX 1080 right up to the limit in terms of processing (still some free VRAM but not much). That’s on the autodetected settings, which are quite high, with FOV raised and motion blur off. All in all, I don’t think this mod is absolutely necessary on Linux.
It’s an early access game, so I imagine a lot of graphical stuff is barely optimised at the moment. If your hardware can’t get a decent framerate, it’s worth considering, though. This game is very GPU heavy.
I find the locations funny. I don’t have the game yet. Is this mod needed outside of windows as well?
