Have a good day people
Well it’s already happened twice now.
After being away regional since xmas and back in the melbs… I’ve said accidentally hello to 2 random strangers whilst walking. Felt like an axe murderer with the stares I got.
I always do that too. Fuck em if they want to act like dick bags.
Don’t tell lies, CEO!
Haha. I was testing something out but it didn’t work so I had to delete it.
That’s weird the giraffe there looks different to the emoji I put there.
That nerve-wracking 3% battery will appear in my nightmares
I managed to take this as my phone died last month
Enjoy the nightmares!
So the Australian women’s cricket team is in the process of destroying South Africa.
The current score is 8/55, which is a pretty ominous start for a five-day test. I suspect it may not go the full five days. Given that it’s also 40° here, that may not be such a bad thing. The ABC having the headline “The rental property sector is not a net taxpayer” is a little misleading IMO.
In many European countries rental properties are taxpayer subsidised. However in turn for getting the subsidies, the property is subject to rent control or a long term lease.
I don’t know what the deal with this batch of pins is. Have had over a dozen bend to 90 or have the heads shatter in the past few days. Bloody annoying.
cheap
Are they blunt or thick? Sometimes resistance going in can make them bend. I’m not sure about the heads though. I know the little emery strawberry was used to smooth or sharpen needles but I don’t know if they would work right with modern anti rust pins.
Dressmakers pins would possible be thinner, stronger and sharper
Pretty sure the sand filled strawberries still work. It’s dress pins that are dying, and yes I’m being somewhat mean to them. The quilting pins are coping much better despite previous abuse with coir and spray paint. Another box of those to the shopping list.
Today I came home to SEVEN (7) pakidges. It’s like Christmas.
Are you going to share your excitement on opening them with us? 🤓
Books! A dress! A top! P2 masks! An embroidery kit! Such riches 😊
That makes my single package seem really insignifigant.
Everyday I can stand up a little straighter. :) Slow but sure progress.
G’morning
OH was home sick today, and I came home to find him watching train videos on YouTube. We’ve now got someone’s amateur version of that SBS Ghan train vid, going from Albury to Southern Cross. It’s actually quite relaxing.
OH: ooh, we’re just coming in to Wodonga…
Trains are wonderful. 😊
also hugs, hope you are feeling better
Thanks! He rested all day and is on the mend now
It’s been a big day for Mr Woof - first a bath, then a meet and greet with a new pet sitter. He’s decided to stick his head under the pillow and hide from the world for a while.
May I ask what kind of dry dog food Mr Woof prefers and also how old he is. I’m looking for a new dry food for my little dog because I don’t think he’s into Vetalogica any more.
Mr Woof is 12 years old and prefers Optimum small breed food for it’s small pieces. Miss Meow is also a bit partial to it when given any opportunity to get her gums on leftovers.
Thank you.
Miss Meow you’re a little scab.
I get the Royal Canin Small Adult 8kg, but I’m looking to move to something with a consideration to joint health. A fish oil pill squirted on the kibble wasn’t appreciated.
Late to this but if it’s helpful - some pet foods contain green lipped mussels which are good for joint health, or you can buy dried ones for treats. That might be less controversial.
Melbcat has also gone onto Solensia to slow progression and ease the pain of arthritis
I was looking at that one and Ivory Coat. I’m looking for a small or softer, grain free biscuit with at least 65% meat. Vetalogica hits all those except for the softer bit. I think he’s over the flavour though.
I really feel like kibble has got a lot harder. I saw a marked change. Maybe manufacturers are baking the pieces bone dry like pottery to overcompensate against the risk of mould
Random. I was listening to ‘Say My Name’ from the Beetlejuice musical… and at one point when they were song-arguing there was a short part where it sounded like Lydia and Beetlejuice might be singing the same melody - except him in major and her in minor. And he lilted down on the last note of a few phrases while she was tending to lilt up, further emphasising their disagreement.
I have no idea if the up and down was by a full note or just sharp and flat, and the sheet music seems to be paywalled to get the second page so I can’t even try to puzzle that note out.
I don’t know much about music theory and can’t really read sheet music. Sometimes my brain just decides to have shower thoughts
Hot air balloons so close. 🎈🎈🎈Pretty. :)
Mrs Moo won’t finish her supper
I am a bit late to the party but I just finished binging the first series of The Bear. Holy crap! That was amazing
That Christmas episode needs to come with a therapy voucher
I agree. Probably brings up some ptsd for anyone that’s worked in the kitchen before though!
For sure!
I reckon S2 got even better - excluding a few bits that got a bit annoying
Holy fuck. If anyone remembers a nu metal band from high school called “Kittie”, they just released a new song after like, 13 years of nothing. And it’s awesome!!!
I saw them live at a very sweaty Big Day Out! I loved Kittie! I’ll check this out!
