I agree. Now that I’m old, my tastes are finally starting to gel, but I’m still always looking for great new musical experiences. I’ve gravitated to LOTS of great music, and even entire new genres, that became a regular part of my listening long past 14.

I started playing the guitar again during the pandemic, after stopping for decades. Now I’ve become a good enough player, that most of the time, I’d rather just listen to my own self-played solo guitar music. That definitely wouldn’t have been on my radar in my teens.

As a kid, I remember hearing about simulating gravity by spinning a space ship. I was excited to see it happen in 2001, so my recollection is that it was already a known concept, and I was just a kid at the time.

Because spineless Establishment Dems have some obsession with “playing nice,” even with vicious MAGA Nazi enemies. I have a million questions, starting with:

I was recently reading that hard core right and Sociopathic Oligarchs all have a real weird thing for LotR. They give Tolkien names to lots of stuff. Music is always a great way to make friends. Most musicians want to make music with others, so they are pretty easy to approach about it. If you aren’t up to their level, they’ll help you, and if you are better than them, you can help them.

I’m an old guy, but I can’t tell you how fast the generation gaps evaporate when musicians start talking. Decades don’t matter when you are talking about your favorite music.

Music is such a great contributor to society, that I can’t believe the MAGA Nazis haven’t tried to ban it yet.
