It sure looks and reads like a Duck so I’m going with it’s a Duck…
In my world that extra cup is a 1tr insulated Thermos mug ;)
The one I hope is coming back soon so I can go back to my own planet ;)
Well I am of to go sit in a corner mildly humbled :) The work that has been put in to this in such a short time frame is amazing.
It’s stuff like this where people just get on and find solutions that keeps me here on this patch of the Fediverse
And just to end with big THANK YOU to everyone involved
Debian only household here …
Dumped that site the day the darkness fell over it and been here ever since. Not really felt any great need to go back there even though there are a couple of subreddit’s I miss but I can live without them and not be an worse off. It’s a fun time being here on this part of the fediverse, just like when we exploring the world of Bulletin Board Systems back in the day’s when we had 9600 baud modems Never look at phone useage, it’s a tool I use as and when ;)
Thanks for the update. Yay the page numbers are not showing.
Yeah back on Connect myself but the previous release as it now has pag numbers which just really seems a strange thing to add and for some reason just niggles me enough to make it annoying. But that’s just me
Welcome to the fun and frustrating world of Linux ;)
Hmm the phrase “Great minds think alike” comes to mind as I was just thinking about posting a similar idea.
With the price of a lot of the SBC’s you will probably be better of going for something like as dell 3050 with a gen7 or above in it. I picked up a gen7 dell 3050 with 4Gb and a 500Gb disk for £50. Threw in a 1tb nvme a 120gb ssd and a spare 500GB ssd I had. Installed Debian with KDE , then i set up the drive shares via sftp, installed Docker and setup the various docker containers such as freshrss, kodi, Firefox ,Pi-Hole etc.
What ever route you go have fun starting you journey in the world of self hosting.
Just 2 here but thinking of spinning up a personal instance shortly
That’s a no thanks from me…
