“Your honor, ‘bonerdragon6969420 llc’ has a long and industrious history…”
Nah “average” is fine, just using the wrong one here. Means are better for roughly bell shaped data sets. I’m the case above, looking at the median and mode would help understand the data better
“pretty phones over privacy” is a wild take ngl
Thanks for that I forgot they had released a whole new game in between, hopefully winter sale has a decent deal and I can give it a crack
I haven’t actually tried mhw on stead deck, does it run well? I bought the game (having never played one before) on a whim and fun with it for a few hours, seems like a great handheld game if it runs ok
What do you mean? Having three seperate settings buttons with options divvyed between them makes perfect sense
Wild to me that theres a whole country out there that has so much influence over my life (an entire ocean away) and they don’t know how much their meal will be before the cheque comes. Incredible.
Just gotta start them yourself and hope for the best! Im lucky that the two communities I cared most about are here, and I only had to make one which is slowly gaining traction. It’s slow but Lemmy is finding its niche and we just gotta keep contributing where we can :)
It’s not quite that simple when you’re talking about a company with huge market share like that because the decisions they make go on to effect the market as a whole, look at headphone jacks, or screen notches for example. Not saying this is only apples fault, companies following their lead are just as bad or worse in some cases.
We can see it happening again with the removal of Sim cards, sure it won’t effect me, but if it becomes more industry standard, it will; and I like physical Sims (though that argument is not for here).
In my opinion it is important to know and criticize market leaders to try to avoid those changes becoming industry norm. To use your example, I would care about what whiteware my neighbours buy if the shitty decisions they make come back to effect me down the road. Look at the criticism of smart TVs and how hard it is to get a top featured “dumb Tvs” now.
But saying “com-fidi-ble” is so much more fun
I feel this. A couple years ago I decided you either get me on signal or SMS, I lost contact with a lot of people after that, but seeing my contacts slowly join and having people slowly start to accept it as a viable messaging app is a good feeling
I think this depends on what flavour of android you have. I can’t answer your question, but if you provide the phone model and os version, it should help whoever comes along and can answer :)
